Poster Session competition! Have your research efforts recognized!
Abstract Submission
SoCal Flow invites all undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs and non-management rank professionals (industry or academic) to submit an abstract to the Poster Session at SUMMIT 2022, April 25-26 at the Beckman Center, UC Irvine, CA.
Abstracts, not including titles, names, and affiliation, should be no longer than 300 words. Submission deadline is March 21, 2022. Abstracts must include title, names of contributing authors and author affiliations. The name of the presenting author must be lead/first author. Submit your abstract in .docx or .pdf form with a file name Lastname_SoCal2022 using the Abstract submission form.

Abstract Award and Presentation Competition
Four abstracts will be selected for the Excellence in Cytometry Award. The abstracts will also be highlighted in the conference program. The honorees will be invited to present their work in an Oral Symposium at the SUMMIT and will receive a registration fee refund. The winning research talk will receive a $100 prize and will be featured on the SoCal Flow website and social media.
Excellence in Cytometry Award
- 1st Prize – $100, Media Feature, Oral presentation, Program highlight, registration refund
- 2nd- 4th Prize – Oral presentation, Program highlight, registration refund
Lightning Talk Poster Competition
All abstract presenters can sign up to give a lightning talk of your poster for a chance to win a cash prize. Lightning talks will be 1 to 2 min long with 1 to 2 powerpoint slides. Space in limited so be sure to sign up early! This oral presentation format will give poster presenters an opportunity to highlight their work to the entire SoCal Flow community. Awards are below:

- 1st Prize – $75
- 2nd Prize – $50
- 3rd Prize – $25

Poster Session
To facilitate social distancing, the poster session will be held outdoors in the courtyard of the Beckman Center on April 26th. Posters may be mounted any time before the poster session beginning April 25th. Posters not removed by April 26th at 4pm will be discarded. Push pins will be provided.
